While attending this year’s AXPONA 2026 convention, we had the pleasure of running into Steve Guttenberg, The Audiophilliac, at our booth! He mentioned that he was in need of the best vintage electronics for review to go back in time a bit and revisit, standout hifi electronics that became classics; the K-1xe preamplifier was on top of his list.
For more of a deep dive on the K-1xe, grab a pint and check out our Pint’s With Ayre video on the K-1xe, or hit the Ayre Archives and read about it there!
